One of my biggest fears when I started my spiritual business was to answer the question:
- How much does it cost?
I remember shaking and wanting to hide in a hole
I remember charging as little as possible to make sure the person would sign up
Not because I needed the money but because I truly and deeply wanted to help them
I remember that I charged $30 dollars for a session (it barely pays for breakfast)
Your fear of not being able to help people and do what you love is costing you being able to do what you love and help people
It took me over a year to understand that and a little longer to overcome that pattern
I still want to help everyone, especially when they are unable to pay
But the difference is, that I know that the people who are truly ready to up-level and receive my work will trust themselves to make an investment and find a way to come up with the money
That characteristic is a requirement for someone to be able to work with me
Because they need that level of self-trust and personal power to really achieve the results that they want
When you are lowering your prices you are not really helpful to people.. you are judging them as “incapable” instead of empowering them to find solutions
Plus you’re not getting your bills paid and feel drained, resentful and anxious at the end of the day
So where would I recommend you to start:
- Every time you feel like lowering your prices stick with the uncomfortable feeling and charge the amount you want (with fear or not) and see what happens. With that, your body will begin to release the fear and get used to having your needs and wants met first.
- Don't take it personally - not everyone will buy from you and that's okay... It's not about you, it's about them. Maybe your offer is not what they need right now, maybe they are not prioritizing themselves on what you are offering, maybe they are not ready to uplevel and sometimes a no is a blessing in disguise.
- Dettach who you are from what you do: You as a professional have nothing to do with who you are at your core. Business is a skill and guiding people through to buy from you is also a skill. You are good enough, capable and worthy regardless if people are buying from you or not.
I hope this helps you just like it helped me.
